DAIRY PROCESSING COURSE

Date to be confirmed, but running over 6 weeks between Late April and June one morning per week.

This course is suitable for anyone who is interested in:

  • Learning a new skill with view to, taking up dairy processing at home for household consumption.

  • Engaging with a new social enterprise development at Stoneyford Food Enterprise Project Kilkenny (FEPK.

  • Developing foundational skills for working within the food sector.

  • Trying something new and meeting other people interested in local food production.

The course will be run at Knockdrinna Dairy facility in Stoneyford. The course content will be presented through practical activities and include the materials, and practices of producing of Butter, Buttermilk, Yogurts, and soft cheeses. Participants can learn how to make a range of products and the essential requirements for setting up a dairy kitchen. This course is also aimed at those interested in employment within the dairy or food sector.

The class begins at 10.30am, we break for lunch for a delicious cheesy lunch and a glass of wine and finish at 3pm.
