'The Stables' as the name suggests is a converted stable complex, converted in 2002, the house uses lots of traditional pine inside with wooden floors and traditional wooden ceilings upstairs and handmade pine doors throughout. The house is located just adjacent to award-winning Knockdrinna Cafe which is open for Breakfast 10.30AM and Lunch five days per week. There are two outdoor seating areas as well as access to the cafe outdoor seating area (BOOKING REQUIRED).
The Space
'The Stables' is part of a complex of 5 traditional stone farm buildings on Robert and Helen Finnegan's farm, each one making the most of the building's unique characteristics.
The building complex also has an old orchard/garden which is a tranquil and pleasant area to sit and our organic vegetable garden is open to visitors. The house itself is laid out as follows: The ground floor consists of a large open plan kitchen/living/dining with wood-burning stove, this area is ideal for large groups. Downstairs also has one single room and a toilet/shower. Upstairs consists of one double room ensuite, one double room, a twin room, and a separate bathroom.
